JFK Neighborhood
Single-family Housing

The historic John F. Kennedy Neighborhood in Oklahoma City was the location selected as the site for our single-family housing development. It resulted from a need to support the commercial endeavors of Central Urban Development, Inc. We were advised on several attempts to implement an economic development plan that there was a lack of new, quality housing stock in the rage of 1200 to 1500 square feet in the north east quadrant of Oklahoma City. The influx of new housing will provide a new economic base to support future commercial development in this area.
On January 26, 2004 we celebrated our initial residential construction with the John F. Kennedy neighborhood single-family housing ground-breaking ceremony. Many city, county and community dignitaries participated in the celebration as a sign of their support for our efforts. Through the vision of Central Urban Development that resulted in building seven market-rate and two affordable homes, investing one and one-half million dollars, thus stimulating others to build in the this area, over two hundred new homes exist where there were abandoned lots and open fields just five years ago.
